New Year's Resolutions With a Difference!
We are starting the new year with resolutions that encourage us to think about our impact on our local, national and global community. We want to make resolutions that not only affect us, but also those around us, locally and globally. What can we do to make positive changes in ourselves, our school, our community and the world?
Here are our 2008 resolutions:
I would like to save animals from becoming extinct. I would like to adopt a panda bear, a whale, a polar bear and a sloth and it would be really cool and good to animals at the same time so every one wins! (Jordan)
I'll research endangered plants and animals all around the world. If I get lots of information, I will put posters up about plants and animals that are endangered. (James)
This year I am donating money to the poor in a developing country. (Alannah)
This year I would like to raise money and donate the money to some families in another country. (Kendell)
This year I would like to exchange art work with another class. (Jaline)
This year I would like to research endangered animals and an organization that takes care of endangered animals. (Jayla)
This year I would like to have a penpal from a developing country. (Crystal)
I would help the endangered animal by first researching to find organizations and then I would maybe adopt an animals. (Jessica)
This year I would like to research an endangered animal like a Siberian Tiger and then tape a video about it. (Travis)
This year I would like to have a penpal or epal in Uganda. (Kahilil)

This year I would like to exchange art work with a class in another country. (Erin)
This year I would like to help people in a developing country. I would like to find as much as I can on the internet about people and their country. I would like to raise money to help the people to buy food and medicine. (Jaymie-lynn)

This year I would like to make a video of life in Leduc and our school. Then I would send the video to a class in Uganda. (Zachary)

This year I am going to make some art and sell it around Alberta and all the money goes to another country. (Braden)
