Stephanie's Ponytail
Book Review None of the kids in her class wear a ponytail, so Stephanie decides she must have one. The reaction from her classmates is: "Ugly, ugly, very ugly." When all the girls have copied her ponytail, she determined to try a new style. Each of Stephanie's ponytails is more outrageous than the last, while the number of copycats grows and grows until finally she outsmarts them all. It gave us a great springboard to discuss peer pressure and individuality. We then decided to write character poems about Stephanie. Character
